Ethical Commitment

I ground my practice in these core ethical beliefs, inspired by fellow practitioner, Sid Hawkins.
This framework supports my work and practice, offering a sense of grounding, connection and accountability:

HOLISTIC PARADIGM

Individuals exist within families (blood + chosen), as well as communities and larger systems.
Health and Integration of the whole body - physical, emotional, intellectual + spiritual.

ALL BODIES ARE WISE

Valuing all genders, sizes, ages and strengths.
Healing that is trauma-informed - physical, sexual, emotional, individual and inter-generational.

Neurodiversity is our strength: there are multiple ways of perceiving, knowing, being and relating.

MAKING ROOM FOR THE SACRED

Honouring ancestral lineages and personal spiritual practice. Grounding our practice on the lands where we live.

RELATIONSHIP- FOCUSED

Seeking reciprocal, compassionate therapeutic partnerships grounded in listening.
Respecting autonomy, agency + consent. Embracing feedback + accountability.

HEALING JUSTICE

Practices that are...
Decolonial;
Anti-Racist;
Queer/ Trans/ Genderqueer inclusive;
Migration/ non-status supportive;
and based on exchange, not transaction.

“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare”
— Audre Lorde
